2026 Primary Endorsements

KFTC members are working for a day when all Kentuckians can thrive – when our lives and communities matter more than profits, and when every voice is heard in our democracy.

That’s why voter engagement is a focus for KFTC’s organizing. Members are registering, having conversations with, and mobilizing tens of thousands of voters. And we’re supporting candidates who will work with and for us toward our vision.

We are pleased to announce these endorsements for the 2026 Primary Election:

  • Charles Booker for United States Senate

  • John “Drew” Williams for United States House of Representatives, District 1

    • Williams is unopposed in the Democratic primary and will advance to the fall’s general election.

  • Shameka Parrish-Wright for Louisville Mayor

  • Chase Carson for London City Council

  • Phyllis Lawson for Somerset City Council

  • Willow Hambrick for Georgetown City Council

KFTC members recommending these candidates for endorsement noted their alignment with KFTC’s vision, values, and goals. Whether in elected office or as neighbors and community leaders, these Kentuckians have shown their commitment to protecting our freedoms, our families, and our futures. We believe that, if elected, they will use the power of their position to improve the lives of Kentuckians.

KFTC chapters and members make recommendations for endorsements, which are considered and decided by our elected statewide Executive Committee. The power of KFTC’s endorsement is in the action of our members, and each endorsement represents a group of Kentuckians ready to knock doors, make phone calls, and more. Join them by finding an event near you or virtual opportunities to get out the vote at www.KFTC.org/events.

Our vision for a healthy democracy includes meaningful options in every election, with lots of worthy candidates on the ballot. We’re not there yet, with too many races going uncontested. But there are other great folks on the ballot this spring. For example, Col. Pamela Stevenson has been a valued legislative ally in the Kentucky House and is well aligned with KFTC’s vision and goals. And there are certainly great candidates for local races in areas where we don’t yet have a base of members.

Visit KentuckyElection.org to learn more about KFTC’s endorsed candidates and others who will be on your ballot – in their own words. If there is a candidate you are excited to vote for this spring, we encourage you to talk to your friends and neighbors about them.

And don’t forget, you can find an opportunity to join KFTC members getting out the vote atwww.KFTC.org/events!
